Every October we do our fall colour tour in the Beaver Valley area. In Thornbury we always see lots of rainbow fishermen. We often stop and watch one brought in. I suspect that the Salmon run is in September and the rainbows are in and out until late spring. Everyone was using fish eggs.
A short distance up the river is the dam at highway 26. This is the end location for open all year fishing.
