Owen Sound Bay, Fall Salmon Fishing
The Salmon are back from their northern tour. A few start to travel back at the end of August and the main run is in September. Early in the fall season boats will travel the ridge along the west shore. A run will stop and gather at Tompson Hole to wait for a heave rain. Some will come in the harbour and then go back out. This is the best time for the fishermen without a boat to catch a Salmon. Every river fishermen should have a fish on and the early run is good to eat. There will be some Salmon in the river in October. If the meat is soft or white the through them back. This is also a great time to take a kid fishing.
